Located on the summit if an E-W drumlin ridge. It is depicted only on the 1907 edition of the OS 6-inch map as a large D-shaped enclosure. There is a folk record of a fort on Killycoghill hill that was removed (IFC, Schools’ MSS, 945, 184; 953, 316: https://www.duchas.ie/en/cbes ), which is unlikely to be this feature. The hilltop is enclosed now in a D-shaped pasture field (dims c. 80m NE-SW; c. 50m NW-SE) with the straight side at NE but there is no indication of any ancient features.
