What is recorded here

Located on top of a drumlin. This is a subcircular domed and grass-covered area (dims c. 37m N-S; c. 32m E-W) defined by a slight earthen bank (at SW: Wth of base 4m; int. H 1m; ext. H 2.1m) SSE-WSW that is largely reduced to a scarp (at N: Wth 2.3m; H 2.2m) and hedge. The original entrance is not identified and the interior was overgrown in 1968 but the scrub had been cleared by 1995 (OSAP). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Revised by: Michael Moore Date of revision: 29 January 2018
