Located at the S end of a broad NE-SW ridge and at the crest of the E-facing slope with good view of rath c. 250m to NE (MO012-016----) but restricted in other directions. Known locally as a fort. Small portion of bank may have been incorporated into adjacent field fence. Extensive quarrying around site.
