Situated on at the crest of the N-facing slope of a broad E-W ridge and overlooking a W-E branch of the River Balckwater which is c. 140m distant. It is described as ‘Lisbough (Site of)’ in gothic lettering on the 1907 and 1949 editions of the OS 6-inch map. No archaeological feature is visible at ground level in pasture.
