What is recorded here

Located on the summit of a WNW-ESE drumlin ridge. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 29.6m N-S; 29m E-W) defined by a scarp (at W: Wth 2.2m; H 0.65m; at E: Wth 2.1m; H 1.15m) with the entrance suggested by a dip in the perimeter at E (Wth 3.9m). There is no visible fosse. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 17 July 2007
