Archaeological monitoring (15E0577) by P. Duffy, D. Bayle and J. Whitaker of topsoil stripping over a large area (c. 92 ha.) conducted intermittently between Dec. 2015 and October 2018 uncovered 37 locations of potential archaeological importance (excavations.ie 2016:051). Each of these was that were further investigated by the same archaeologists under different licences, not all of which are recorded here. At Site 30 excavation (16E0600) recorded an isolated pit (dims 0.56m x 0.49m; D 0.06-0.09m) with a single fill of dark brown/grey silty clay that had occasional flecks of charcoal. Some stones at the outer edge may represent packing for a post. No date is available. (Duffy et. al. 2021, 37)
