What is recorded here

Situated on a fairly level landscape. Just W of the ecclesiastical enclosure of Templeavy church (ME046-003----) three relict field banks and drains radiate from its perimeter and this field system covers a surviving area of 4 acres (c. 1.6ha). There is a possible bullaun stone (ME046-003003-) protruding through one of these banks. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of revision: 8 April, 2015
