Located at the crest of the S-facing slope down to the valley of the W-E Broad Meadow River. Archaeological testing and monitoring (02E0266) exposed what might be a kiln which was visible as a small hollow (dims 0.74m x 0.55m) filled with layers of burnt clay with charcoal in a spread (dims 1.8m x 1.5m; T 0.15m) of re-deposited subsoil (excavations.ie 2002:1415). Unfortunately, it was destroyed before a licence to excavate (02E0529) could be effected (excavations.ie 2002:1415). (Frazer 2002)
