Situated on the W bank of the S-N Blackwater River and c. 50m from the canalised stream. Archaeological monitoring (02E0194) of topsoil stripping in advance of the development of a gas pipeline identified a burnt mound (dims 8.9m E-W; 6.4m N-S; T c. 0.1m), which was preserved in situ (BGE: 1A/40/1). The burnt mound (ME041-022----) is c. 60m to the S. (Tobin 2003, 29, Fig 19) Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 7 February 2018
