The original chancel of St Patrick’s parish church (ME036-048012-) in Trim is presently inaccessible for safety reasons, but the graveslab of Greg and Griffith has been recorded by Evans (1903, 410-11) as:
On a tomb in the old church, which has been lately restored by putting together the broken pieces which were in different places in the churchyard, is the following inscription: HERE LYE Ye BODIES OF JOHN GREG, DEAN OF LISMORE, AND FIRST VICAR OF TRIM, WHO DYED JANUARY 21, 1629: AND WILLIAM GRIFFITH, NEXT VICAR OF TRIM, WHO DYED --- (The date of this death was never filled in.)
