Situated in the valley of the Boyne River, with a N-S section of the stream c. 80m to the E. The church (ME036-035001-) is situated on a flat-topped mound (diam. of top c. 18nm N-S; c. 14m E-W; diam. of base c. 25m; H 2 at W to 4-6m generally). The wall of the graveyard (ME036-035) generally surrounds the base of the mound.
