Situated on a gently undulating landscape. Aerial photograph (CUCAP: AVS 13) shows the cropmark of a field system consisting of narrow rectangular fields (dims c. 100-c. 150m x c. 20-30m) subtending from an E-W field bank at N. It covers an area of about 5 acres (c. 2 ha) and is also visible on OSI images (1995).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
