Sunken trackway adjacent to, on SW side, modern road going NW from Hill of Tara; may be Petrie's (TRIA 1839, 221) Slighe Asal or Fan na gCarbad. It intersects, at N end of Teach Miodhchuarta, with another sunken trackway, the Slighe Miodhchuarta, which runs W, S of field fence and then turns SW. Slighe Dála runs parallel with the modern approach road from S, on W side of field fence. (Macalister 1931, 78-81)
