What is recorded here

Situated on the N-facing slope of Tara hill and just outside the barrow (ME031-033042-) at NE. It is described (Newman 1997, 130, 329) as a possible ditched enclosure or ring-ditch (diam. c. 15m) defined by an arc of positive magnetic anomaly. It is at the angle of a relict field, and it may be the field angle that was recorded. Location: (691798, 750136) Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 2 November 2021

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
