Located on a gentle S-facing slope, with a small W-E stream c. 180m to the S. Archaeological monitoring (01E0090) of topsoil removal identified a single pit which was subsequently excavated (01E0548). It was circular (diam. 0.64m; D 0.12m) with a single fill of brown sandy clay that had some stone inclusions and occasional inclusions of heat-shattered stone and charcoal flecks. A C14 date of 3710 +- 40 BP (Cal. BC 1970-210) was obtained from a sample. (Russell 2001, 12-13)
