What is recorded here

The Montgomery tomb (ME025-022002-) is just S of the tower of Ardbraccan parish church (ME025-022----), and a side-stone and cover from a different chest tomb (ME025-022003-) is on the ground nearby. Moore (c. 1975, 9) records the graveslab of Peter Nov (?), dated 1585, which is a trapezoidal stone (dims 0.4-0.46m; H 0.64m plus; T 0.15m) with chamfered edges set up as a headstone near the tower. It has a small crest in false relief. The partially visible legend incised in roman lettering reads: HERE LIETH THE BODIE OF.../ PETER NOV LATE / DECESSED / THE 21 OF / AVGVST / 1585 See the attached image.
