Situated at the N end of a small ridge in an undulating, low-lying landscape with a small lake in a hollow c. 60m to the W. This is a subcircular grass-covered area (dims 26.5m N-S; 22m E-W) defined by a fosse (at SW: Wth of top 6.7m; Wth of base 2m; int. D 0.5m; ext. D 0.6m) S-W and a scarp (at NE: Wth 5.7m; H 2.3m) with some bushes elsewhere. There is an old quarry inside the fosse at SW, but the original entrance is not identified The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987).
