This is medieval house 7, which was built on medieval house 6 with only a thin layer of ash between them. House 7 (ext. dims 7m N-S; 5.8m E-W) was evident as adjacent sections of the S and W walls with a rounded corner at SW, together with fragments of the N and E walls and an area of cobbling. One internal post-hole and the hearth were displaced S of the centre. The cobbling was covered by a charcoal layer with straw, from which a charred oak beam was recovered, which suggests that the house burned down.
