What is recorded here

Situated on the summit of Balsaw Hill with wide views out in every direction. This stone has an oval cross-section at the base (dims 1.15m x 0.6m) tapering to a blunt point (H 1.6m). It is generally aligned N-S and leans slightly to the S. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987).
