What is recorded here

Structure C, located just 5m S of Structure D, is an arc of postholes (diam. c. 4m) defined by seven postholes S-W-N with no evidence of postholes on the E side, but the structure was extremely truncated with only the bases of postholes (D 0.05-0.1m) present. The charcoal from one of the postholes was a mix of alder, ash and cherry with one piece of oak, and a fragment of alder charcoal returned a C14 date of 2023-1886 cal. BC (UBA 11093). There was an internal hearth (dims 1.5m z 1.05m; D 0.07m) with an oxidized base, and a sample of alder charcoal from this provided a C14 date of 2109-1892 cal. BC (UBA 11094).
