The Middle (1700-1200 BC) and Late ( 1200-800 BC) Bronze Ages are represented by the establishment of a field system, these three flimsy structures that might be connected with it, fulacht fia 1, and the length of path across the pond and the small four-post structure (7) on top of the ridge. Three tentatively identified circular structures are at the NE edge of the excavation on either side of Ditch B, but not all can be independently dated. Structure I is a circular area (diam. c. 8m) defined by five postholes and five stakeholes, but all the features are very slight and are widely and irregularly spaced. It probably functioned as a pen for small animals, and it may have been clipped by Ditch B at E. A sample of hazel charcoal from one of the postholes yielded a C14 date of 1443-1293 cal. BC (UBA 12905), making it the only dated structure of the three flimsy features in a NE-SW line in the vicinity of Gully B. Structure III is 4m to the NE of I and is a circle of five stakeholes (diam. c. 2m). Structure II is c. 7m to the NE of III and on the other side of Ditch B, but it is also at the unfinished junction of that feature with Ditch A. It has five stakeholes forming a subcircular feature (dims 2.5m x 2m) that may have been open at NE. (Walsh 2011, vol. 1, 110-11, 173-4)
