What is recorded here

Situated on a steep but local E-facing slope. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 25.5m N-S; 25m E-W) that slopes down to the E (H c. 1.5m) defined by a wide and low earthen bank (at W: Wth of base 10-10.5m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.2m) S-W-NNE that is largely reduced to an external scarp (at ESE: Wth 6.5m; H 1.8m) elsewhere. There is no visible fosse or entrance. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of revision: 9 January 2019
