What is recorded here

Situated on a hillock with rock outcrop in an undulating landscape. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 22.5m NE-SW; 21.5m NW-SE) defined by an earthen bank (Wth of base 3.5-4m; int. H 0.2-0.4m; ext. H 0.7m at SW to 1.7m at NE). There is an outer berm (Wth 2m) defined by an external scarp (ext. H 0.5m). There is an entrance (Wth of base 3.2m) and outer ramp (Wth of base 4m) at S, and another entrance (Wth of base 4m) and ramp (Wth of top 3.3m; H 0.3m) at E. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987).
