What is recorded here

Situated on a rise in an undulating landscape. It is not depicted on any map but is visible on aerial photographs (GSIAP: N 257-8). This is a raised D-shaped and grass-covered area (dims 30m E-W; 25m N-S) defined by scarps (max. H c. 2m). At the centre is a hut-site as a subcircular platform (dims 6.5m E-W; 5m N-S) with a raised rectangular platform (dims 6.7m N-S; 4.2m E-W) at S connecting it to a low bank on the straight S edge of the enclosure. It is within a field system (ME014-023002-). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987).
