What is recorded here

Located at the crest of the E-facing slope of a hillock on a summit of the ENE-WSW Slieve Breagh ridge. The faint and very uncertain parch mark of a double ditched enclosure (max. ext. diam. c. 30m), perhaps with a central pit, is visible on aerial photograph (CUCAP: AVS 1) from July 1968. It has not appeared on other aerial images. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 10 July 2007 Amended: 3 August 2022
