What is recorded here

Situated on a small hillock in a fairly level landscape. This is a raised grass-covered and circular platform (diam. 51m NNE-SSW; 48.5m WNW-ESE) defined by slight traces of a bank S-SW and NW-NE but mostly by a scarp (H c. 1m generally to 2.4m at SE). There is no visible fosse or identifiable entrance, and the monument is skirted by a N-S road bank at W that might have truncated it slightly on this side. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 10 July 2007 Amended: 2 August 2022

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
