Located on a rise towards the bottom of a N-facing slope. This is a raised, circular, grass and scrub-covered area (diam. 37m N-S; 37m E-W) defined by an overgrown fosse that is best preserved (Wth of top 9m; int. D 3.2m; ext. D 2m) SW-N, and a counterscarp bank incorporated into a field bank N-SE, which is the townland boundary with Clonasillagh W-NE. The original entrance is not identified. In the SE quadrant is a U or V-shaped bank (Wth of base 3.2m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.7m) in plan with an outer channel or fosse (Wth of top 3.3m; Wth of base 1.7m; ext. D 0.45m), which is not a souterrain.
