What is recorded here

Situated on a relatively low hillock. It is not marked on any OS map but it is visible on aerial photographs (GSIAP: N 672/3). This is a slightly raised circular area (diam. 41.5m N-S; 39m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 0.3m m at N to 1.8m at SW) but the perimeter is slightly truncated by an overgrown E-W field bank at S. There is no visible fosse or entrance. The field bank at S was removed in 1995 (OSAP) but the monument survives intact. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Revised by: Michael Moore Date of revision: 26 October 2018

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
