What is recorded here

Located on the N summit of a NNW-SSE ridge. It is not recorded on any OS map. This is a D-shaped grass-covered area (dims c. 43m N-S; 17m E-W) sloping down to the S. It is defined by an earthen bank (at E: Wth of base 3.8m; Wth of top 1m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.3m) NNW-E-SSE backing onto a NNNW-SSE field bank at W with no evidence of a monument W of the field bank. There is no visible fosse or entrance but it is probably a rath. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of revision: 5 September 2018

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
