Located to W of a medieval church (MA123-060002-) on the NW limits of a graveyard (MA123-060003-) in the centre of an early medieval ecclesiastical enclosure (MA123-060001-). This pair of standing stones consists of two upright, irregular-shaped slabs of limestones, set 1.95m apart. The northern stone is 1.69m high and 0.2-0.4m thick; the southern stone is 1.78m high and 0.14-0.45m thick. Their function remains unknown. One possibility is that they mark an old entrance into the graveyard. According to local tradition, coffins were carried between the stones en route to burial. (Manning 1987, 45)
