In pasture, incorporated into a field system (MA118-078006-). This enclosure is recorded in aerial photographs (CUCAP BDN 97 & 98, 1970; SMR file) as a subcircular enclosure (diam. c. 30m), possibly a cashel, with a roughly E-W central internal division, and a small roughly square structure or enclosure (dims. 5-8m) abutting the enclosing wall at SE. It was levelled during land reclamation. An Archaeological Survey of Ballinrobe and District (1994; p. 78, no. 373) recorded a 'circular mound (14.2m N-S; 13.2m E-W; H 2.44m) of earth and stone' in this area, which is likely to be a field clearance heap. Current aerial views suggest that the small structure, which abutted the SE of the enclsoure, is extant.
