In pasture, located on a level area on a ridge top, with a fall of ground c. 25m to W, providing extensive views. A circular enclosure (diam.20-25m) is shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map; it is not shown on later map editions. There is no visible trace at ground level. A minor road, on a N–S, axis crosses the location, bordered at the E by a vegetable garden and a concrete cattle crush.
