What is recorded here

At the E end of a rectangular field, bordered by a house and farmyard. A circular embanked enclosure (diam. c. 25m) is shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map; it is not shown on the 1930 edition. There is no visible trace at ground level. The field fences at N, E and S sides of the field may overlie the enclosure. According to local tradition, there was a 'fort' with a souterrain (MA111-036001-) here. Compiled by: Jane O'Shaughnessy Date of upload: 21 December 2022

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
