What is recorded here

In pasture, on a broad level elevation; ground slopes gradually to E. Shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as a circular embanked enclosure (diam. c. 15-20m); it is not shown on the 1930 edition, although a shallow curve shown in a N−S field fence probably preserved the W arc of the enclosure. This enclosure has been levelled. A shallow, roughly circular depression (diam. c. 9m) is evident, bordered on the E half by a cropmark (arc of slightly yellow grass), possibly indicating a levelled bank. A straight N−S field wall crosses the W edge of the circular depression; the curving kink in the wall shown on the 1930 OS 6-inch map has been removed and the wall rebuilt so that it is now completely linear.
