This record refers to a mound noted by Knox (1911, 211) in Cloonbullig townland. He provided scant detail, merely stating that it is a ‘small mound’ which ‘is supposed to have been inhabited’, rising out of marshy ground to SE of a larger mound (MA103-046001-), with the site of a castle (MA103-047----) c. 100m to N. The precise location of the mound is unknown.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
