In pasture, on an undulating ridge with good views.
A circular embanked enclosure (diam. c. 20m) is shown on 1838 OS 6-inch map; by the time of the 1916 edition it had been truncated at SW and NW by linear field boundaries.
A broad rise, almost like a small hillock, (diam. 25-30), is evident at the location. A farm road flanked by dry stone walls skirts the W side of the rise. A pit (c. 8m across; D 1.5m) is cut into the top of the rise.
