In pasture, located on top of a ridge with good views, especially to N over an expanse of mixed bogland and pasture.
A circular enclosure (diam. c. 25m) is shown on the 1838 and 1916 OS 6-inch maps. It was levelled during land reclamation; there is no visible trace at ground level.
