In pasture, located adjacent to a field drain, in an area of lowlying, flat damp land bordering the S bank of the Mannin River. Ground rises c. 20m to S.
Low, grass-covered kidney-shaped mound (c. 8.7m NE–SW; 12m NW–SE, H 0.3-0.4m at NE) composed of heat-shattered stone in a black, charcoal-rich soil matrix. The exact limits of the mound on the SW side are not clear. A shallow central depression, which may indicate the position of a trough, opens to the NE facing the river.
