NMI Topographical Files contain a letter dated 1929 referring to a souterrain, now closed up, which was discovered in Coolnafarna townland (SMR file). The exact location of the souterrain was not recorded. The only known souterrain (MA093-062----) in Cloonafarna is located in the E half of the townland.
