In pasture, in an expanse of level wet, boggy ground, overlooked by a ridge to S. An E−W road borders the S side of the field a few meters to S of the mound.
A sod-covered, roughly horseshoe-shaped mound (11.6m N–S; 8m E–W; H 0.45m at S, 0.6m at N) with a shallow depression at NE between the arms of the mound, which probably indicates the location of a trough. The mound is composed of characteristically angular heat-shattered stones in black, charcoal-rich peaty soil. An old field drain clips the SW edge of the mound.
