In pasture, prominently sited on a low ridge, with extensive views in all directions.
This rath is depicted as a roughly circular embanked enclosure (diam. 45-50m) on the 1838 and 1917 OS 6-inch maps. It has been levelled but the ephemeral outline of a roughly circular area (c. 40.6m N–S; c. 44.5m E–W) can still be discerned. A gap (Wth c. 5m) at the E may indicate the original entrance.
According to local information, it was enclosed by a substantial earthen bank with an external fosse and possibly an outer bank; in the interior is a souterrain (MA092-067001-).
