Situated on a locally prominent hummock in the commonage on lower south-eastern slopes of Knockmore. A small stream, feeding the tributaries of the Owenmore River, flows by 15m to N, and a ruined turf stack lies 2m to E. The house consists of a low circular platform (N–S 8.5m, E–W 8.5m). It is defined by traces of a stone wall, best preserved from W to N, where an almost contiguous curving line of stones and small boulders (Wth 0.9m × H 0.2m) are visible protruding from the sod. Only a few stones are visible elsewhere around its perimeter, but a low curving scarp (H 0.2m) defines its limits. The surface of the platform is flat, grassy and notably drier underfoot than the surrounding ground.
