In pasture, located on a knoll with a steep fall of ground to N–NE, with extensive views N–S. It is overlooked by a higher ridge at W–SW.
This enclosure is not shown on the 1938 OS 6-inch map. It is shown on the 25-inch plan and on the 1916 OS 6-inch map as an oval embanked enclosure (diam. c. 20m NW-SE; c. 15-20m NE-SW) with an outer enclosing bank incorporated on the E arc into a field boundary; field walls radiate from it to NNE, SE, SSW, and WNW. It is also recorded in an aerial photograph (SMR file: GSI M 645-4; Roll 218, pr. 10)
It was levelled during land reclamation; the ephemeral outline of a roughly circular rise (diam. c. 20m) can be traced, merging with the natural contours of the hill.
