In rough, damp pasture, located on the SE side of a spring-fed stream.
A D-shaped, grass-covered mound (14m NNE–SSW; 13m ESE–WNW to drain) composed of heat-shattered stone in black, charcoal-rich soil, truncated on the straight side to W by a field drain (Wth 1.2m). A section (Wth c. 6m) of the mound bordering the drain is higher (max. H 0.8m) and this may be at least partly due to upcast from the drain. The perimeter of the mound is ringed by yellow flag and rushes. There is another burnt mound (MA073-052002-) 10m to N.
