In wet pasture, located on the E bank of a stream in a secluded semicircular valley, sheltered NE–S by steeply rising slopes. The stream meanders around a rocky rise on the W bank.
Compact, horseshoe-shaped mound (11.7m NNW/SSE; 10.3m ENE/WSW; H 0.8m) composed of heat-shattered stone in a matrix of charcoal-rich soil, with hollow area (max. dim. 1.5m) between the ‘arms’ of the mound to SW, facing the stream. Sod, moss and heather grow on the mound.
