What is recorded here

In pasture, located on a ridge, at the break of slope on the SW side where there is a steep fall of ground, overlooking an expanse of damp ground. Raised circular area (35.2m N−S; 34m E−W) defined by earthen scarp (Wth slope 2.8m at SE; ext. H 1.4m at NE, 1.8m SE) which retains a slight internal lip in parts. Stones protrude from the scarp intermittently, and at SSW−N the scarp is incorporated into a field fence and externally faced with stone. Heaps of field clearance stones are piled against the exterior of the scarp at SE and S. The interior has a slight slope down from N−S in the S third. The rath perimeter is thickly ringed with hazel, hawthorn and blackthorn; long grass and bracken in the interior. A rath (MA072-070----) is located on another ridge 190m to SW.
