In a cashel (MA072-004001-). This souterrain is indicated as ‘Cave’ on the 1838 and 1930 OS 6-inch maps, where it is shown on the SW perimeter of the cashel. According to local information, there was an opening into the souterrain roughly in the centre of the interior, just S of the bisecting field wall; it was possible to crawl along a stone-lined passage which opened into a larger space/chamber. This opening was blocked up and is not now visible. A badger set now marks the location.
