In wet, rush-grown pasture, located at the base of a W-facing slope with a stream/drain 4m to W.
A roughly D-shaped mound (13.3m E–W; 12.5m N–S; H 0.4m at E, 0.8m at W) incorporated on the straight side to N into an E–W field bank which has a parallel field ditch (Wth 0.8m) on its N side. The mound is compact and dry, covered in short grass which distinguishes it from the surrounding thick rushes and damp ground. It is composed of a concentration of stone fragments in dark soil, visible where the sod mantle has been eroded. A portion of the mound may have been levelled to N of the field boundary, where a flat stony ground surface extend for c. 6m to N.
