Located in flat, partly reclaimed, damp pasture, bordered to NE by rising ground.
Sub-circular, sod-covered mound (12m E–W; c. 10m N–S; H 0.4m at W), with an indentation or hollow (Wth 1.8m) at S that may indicate the position of a trough. The mound is clearly defined at S–NW but the limits are less distinct at NE–E. It underlies a layer of dark peaty soil, and is composed of a concentration of shattered stones in black soil. Some N–S ridging on the surface of the mound appears to be the result of relatively recent disturbance.
