What is recorded here

In pasture, on a steep NW-facing slope. Not shown on any edition of the OS 6-inch mapping. Listed in the SMR (1991) and the RMP (1997) as an enclosure on the basis of a roughly rectangular feature visible in an aerial photograph (SMR file: GSI M 692 -7; Roll 217, pr. 24). A rectangular area (c. 36m NNE−SSW; c. 34m E−W) is defined by a low, inward-facing scarp, lined with overgrowth, on the N, E and S sides It is open on the W side. A NE−SW field wall crosses the centre of the enclosure. The interior slopes steeply to NW. Compiled by: Jane O’Shaughnessy Date of upload: 24 September 2021
